Christian Forgiving
Christian Forgiving
It’s hard to live a Christian life
In Satan’s world of sin and strife.
You try your best to help a friend,
Then find that, somehow, you offend.
Sometimes you never even know
What happened to upset him so;
And though you try with all your might,
You cannot seem to set things right.
For Satan’s working every hour
To find the sheep he may devour.
He’ll broadcast lies within your heart,
To drive your brothers far apart.
Then he can pick off one by one,
And when his evil work is done;
We’re at his mercy, on our own,
But we can never stand alone.
We need each other in this fight,
To stand against his awesome might.
His wicked lies we must not heed,
But, on the Holy Spirit, feed.
If you’ve a problem with a brother,
Do not discuss it with another;
We cannot read our brother’s mind;
He may not know he’s been unkind.
If, in your heart, you hold a grudge,
And you refuse to let it budge,
It festers 'til you’re filled with hate;
Forgive, before it is too late.
