WHO DO YOU BELIEVE?
GOD ?
“In a beginning God created the heaven and the earth” and called it the “first day”of the week which
also translates to be the first day of each month during a year on God’s divine Calendar (Gen 1:1,5).
OR ==== THE TRADITION OF MEN ?
Hillel II, a Pharisee in 359 AD. Intercalated the Hebrew calendar holiday dates, for God’s Holy Day
dates ? Hillel II, begins his holiday count from God’s created fourth day. Making that day [ day four] be
counted as day one for his Hebrew Calendar (Gen 1:19). When starting to count from day four- postpones
God’s first three days of His creation week!
Before answering “Who do you believe”? It’s recommended you read a couple books, one is called
“The Comprehensive Hebrew Calendar” by Arthur Spier. This is the book most Churches of God use for
their annual Holy Day Sabbath dates. The first 21 pages will give you a good understanding of what the
intercalated postponement rules are for when following Hillel II tradition of men Hebrew Calendar. A
second book in continuing your studies on postponements of God’s annual Holy Days is called
“Understanding the Jewish Calendar” by Rabbi Nathan Bushwick. This book will give you a quicker
understanding of how the Pharisee, who did not have God’s Holy Spirit, Hillel II in 359 AD. intercalated
postponements into the Hebrew Calendar, and how Astronomy is used for calculating the Hebrew Calendar
from the fourth day of God’s creation.
After reading these two books, 20 years ago - it was clearly seen, a choice had to be made. “Elijah
came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow
Him: but if Baal, then follow Him. And the people answered him not a word” (1 Kings 18:21).
In the New Scofield Holy Bible, authorized King James Version, copyrighted 1945 by Oxford
University Press, Inc., writes, “In the first day of creation, “God said, Let there be light: and there was light”
(Gen 1:3).
“Neither here nor in vv, 14-18 is an original creative act implied. A different word is used. The sense is
made to appear, made visible. The sun and moon were created “in the beginning.” The light came from the
sun, of course, but the vapor [canopy] diffused the light. Later the sun appeared in an unclouded sky.”
In the earlier history of interpretation (cf. O. Zockler, “Schopfung, and Verlag Von Rudolf Besser ,
1866, pp.735-36, in the “Real Encyclopedia” wrote; The Sun and moon were created “In the Beginning.”
“The “light” of course came from the Sun, but the vapor diffused the light. Latter the Sun appeared in an
unclouded sky. According to this view the Sun, Moon, and Stars were all created in Gen 1:1, but they could
not be seen from the earth until the fourth day. The division between “the day” and “the night” leaves little
room for interpretation of the “light” - other than that of the light from the Sun. It should be noted however,
that the Sun ,Moon, and Stars are all to be included in the meaning of the phrase “heavens”and Earth”- thus
according to the present account these celestial bodies were all created in Geneses verse 1."
Genesis 1: 5 thru to Genesis 2:3. God numbers each day of the week- and on the seventh day He
rested, calling it the Sabbath day! He did not stop on the fourth day when the crescent moon became visible
to start day 1 of the week again. If He would have - the weekly seventh day Sabbath would be out of sink
with the day He sanctified as Holy! God shows us in Genesis 1: 4-5 the appearance of the moon was dark on
the day He calls "first day!" “And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the
darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning
were the first day” (Gen 1:4-5).
When God, from a beginning, created the Heavens, sun, moon, stars and Earth. "God said, Let there
he light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good" (Gen 1:4). And God divided the light
from the darkness. And God called the light Day. and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the
morning were the first day" (Gen 1:3-5).
The moon was in its beginning new phase of darkness, and was not seen until the fourth day when the
waxing crescent moon was seen, that was when God defused the vapor around the Earth in it’s created
Heaven. "And God said, Let there be [the] lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the
night; and let them [the objects] be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them (the
objects) be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God
made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: He made the stars
also. "And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day
and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening
and the morning were the "fourth day" (Gen 1:14-19).
Leviticus 23: God lists His annual Holy Days; "Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them,
Concerning the Feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be Holy convocations, even these are My
feasts'' (Lev 23:2). First God speaks of His weekly Sabbath, before listing His seven annual Holy Days
convocations. We were told earlier, “Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the
Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of
Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was
refreshed” (Ex 31:16-17). These Sabbath days are also embraced by the spirit in the fourth Commandment.
God's weekly Sabbath and annual Sabbaths are to be Holy convocations, days commanded and set apart for
Holy worship service, and not to be postponed!
The work of end time restoration is not to be postponed - but to begin with a renewal of the true
weekly and annual Sabbath observance, the essence of which communion with God and remembrance of His
creative power, on the day that He set apart and made Holy. (Gen 2:2-3). "If you turn away your foot from
the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My Holy Day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the Holy of the
LORD, honorable; and shalt honour Him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure. nor
speaking thine own words: then shalt you delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause you to ride upon the
high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob your father: for the mouth of the LORD has
spoken it" (Isa 58:13-14). We cannot start the first day of God’s 7th month called the “Feast of Trumpets"
on a postponement day and be in harmony with Gen1:1-5 in God's Word!
If we are going to be with God at His Holy convocations, we are going to have to actually utilize the
"tools" in heaven that He has given us. All times on earth have been calculated from His master clock in
heaven. God has already alerted us in “Gen 1" what the first day of the week and first starting day of each
month resembles! God's first day of His divine calendar months begin when the waning moon first goes
dark, [Genesis 1:1-5]. The same pattern as a day starts with the beginning of evening - darkness! Sunset, sets
the precedent for the beginning of the dark moon phase.
Nowhere in scripture is the young crescent moon used for the new moon! Notice what Christ said in
John 5: "For had you believed Moses. you would have believed Me for he wrote of Me. But if you believe
not his writings, how shall ye believe My words" (John 5:46-47).
Mark 7, express some strong words for the “tradition of men” like the pharisee Hillel II. Who never
was given God’s Holy Spirit. “He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias [Isaiah] prophesied of you
hypocrites, as it is written. This people honoureth Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. Howbeit
in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men [ traditions of men]. For
laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the “tradition of men" as the washing of pots and cups: and
many other such like things ye do. And He said unto them, Full will ye reject the commandment of God, that
ye may keep your own tradition. Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye
have delivered: and many such like things do ye" (Mark 7:6-9,13). Don't believe me believe your Bible! ☜

Isa 1:13-16
13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto Me; the new moons and Sabbaths, the
calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts My soul hateth: they are a trouble unto Me; I am weary to
bear them.
15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide Mine eyes from you: yea, when you make many
prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before Mine eyes; cease to do evil;
Jer 7:30
30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their
abominations in the house which is called by My name, to pollute it.
Titus 1:13-14
13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
2 Tim 4:3-4
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they
heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
