“RE BELLION”
“Whosoever he be that doth rebel against Thy commandment, and will not hearken unto Thy words in all that Thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage” (Josh 1:18).

Do Christian's at times have a tendency to rebel? All Christians should have the answer to this question when giving consideration to what is happening to the brethren around the World.
Yes, Christian do rebel! Some may rebel in-search for material gain which Christians are warned about in the Bible. If we look keenly into our Bible, we are warned and told not to rebel. But what will be our reward if we do rebel? What will be our reward if we remain in God's truth and help others to also know God's truth? Let us take a look at 1 Corinthians 10: verses 1- 6, "Moreover brethren I would not that ye be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the same cloud and all passed through the sea; and were all baptized unto Moses in the clouds and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink for they drank from the spiritual rock that followed them and that rock was Christ. But with many of them, God was not well pleased for they were overthrown, now this things were our examples to the intent we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted."
Many Christians have rebelled from doing God's will to doing evil things such as what Paul warned about. Example, he instructed Corinth to avoid practicing sinful acts, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived,
neither fornication, nor idolaters nor adulterers nor effeminate nor abusers of themselves with mankind" (1 Cor 6:9). Take time brethren and read verses 10-20 which gives us more warning to stop doing evil thing like rebelling against God's authority and truth. When doing evil things such as the ones Paul warned about, brethren, have there reward.
Notice again 1 Cor I 0 :verse 5, that told us, if we rebel against God, we will be overthrown. But what if we leave our evil ways to follow God's teaching?
For centuries, people have tried to define and to understand what is good behavior and what is evil behavior in their own opinion or personal philosophy, religious beliefs or contemporary ethics. However what does the Bible say is good or what does the Bible say is evil? Note what Moses said to the Israelites in Deuteronomy chapter 30, "See I have set before you this day life and good and death and evil in that I command this day to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgment that you may live and multiply and the Lord your God shall bless you in the land where you will go to posses it" (Deut 30: 15 - 16). Brethren, note that Vs. 16 reveals a blessing to those who are obedient.
If we look in Vs. 17- 19, the disobedient also will have their
reward. "But if your heart turns away so that you will not hear but shall be drawn away and worship other gods,
and serve them; I denounce to you this day that you shall surely perish and that you shall not prolong your days, upon the land where you passed over Jordan to go to posses it. I call upon heavens and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life that both you and your seeds may live." Paul continues to remind us in verses 9 - 11, of God's punishment on the Israelites for their evil acts such as the ones mentioned above.
"Neither let us not tempt Christ as some of them also tempted and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye as some of them also murmured and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all this things happened unto them for example and they are written for our admonition upon whom the ends of the world are come" (I Corinthians 10: 9 - 11)
Brethren let us not rebel from what God tells us is good to do. We should choose life and not death, what is good and not what is bad or evil.
