Statement of Beliefs
STATEMENT OF BELIEFS
"It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matt 4:4).
1. The Church of God believes in the God family, who has the spirit of a supreme mind, power, and authority. Headed by God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, through whom all creation was created.

Luke 1:26-35; I John 3:22-23; Matt 3:13-17; Col 1:18.
3. We believe that Jesus brought the true Gospel from God for mankind. That He is the promised Messiah, that He died for the sins of the world, and that repentant and believing sinners are justified and reconciled to God, by His shed blood when baptized.
Act 2:32-38; Mark 1:1-2,14; Col 1:12-14; Eph 1:3,7; I John 1:7.

Matt 16:21; Luke 9:22; Heb 12:2; Mark 16:19; Luke 24:7; Act 2:32-33.
5. We believe the Holy Bible is the Inspired Revelation from God to man.

6. We believe that the Living Christ will soon return to earth. This time in all the power and glory of the Creator God, as King of kings, and Lord of lords, To solve the now fast mounting world problems, to establish world peace, to end ignorance, and disease.
Luke 22:14-18; John 3:17; Rev 21:3-4; I Tim 6:15; Rev 17:14.
7. We believe that Christ commissioned His Church, to proclaim the Gospel, which is the Good News of the coming Kingdom of God and to feed His flock, teaching the theocratic government of God the Father and Jesus Christ.
Mark 13:10; Matt 24:14; II Tim 4:1-5; Mark 16:15-18; Mark 1:15; I Pet 5:2-4; John 21:15-17; I Sam 8:7; Hosea 13:11; Exo 19:5-8.
8. We believe that Mankind, the finest and most complicated mechanism ever created by God, was sent with an instruction book, the Bible. The Bible reveals the purpose of human life and the way of life, God set in motion a way to bring peace, happiness, and abundant well being.
Matt 4:4; John 16:33; Eph 2:11-13; II Tim 3:14-17.
9. We believe true Christians should, as Jesus said, actually live by every Word of the Divine Instruction Book the Bible, to receive every good thing that all humans desire. And that blessings are the result of this way of life and cursing the result of disobedience.
Deu 28; Lev 26; I John 3:22-24; Luke 6:46-47; Matt 7:7-8; James 1:5-6; Luke 4:4; John 5:29.
l0. We believe the Bible interprets itself, that no Scripture must be privately interpreted by itself, but by other Scriptures. We therefore accept it as it is, believing what it says, and to say what it means. There are symbols, allegories, and parables, and these are explained within the Bible itself.
II Pet 1:20-21; II Tim 3:16; II Tim 2:15.
11. We believe that the Bible is up to date in this Twentieth-first Century, It is rational and makes sense. Our members study the Bible to live a rational, common sense, balanced way of life.
Luke 6:27-38; I Tim 1:8-10.
12. We believe in the strictest sense, in following the instructions as laid down in the Word of God. Membership in the family of God requires: (1) Being called by God the Father (John 6:44). (2) Repentance (Acts 3:19).
(3) Baptized and receive the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands (Acts 2:38-39; Acts 8:17).
(4) Go on to perfection (Eph 2:8; James 2:17).
13. We believe that the Church,"called out ones", are to go on to perfection proving all things and hold fast that which is true.

Lev 23; Rev 22:18-19.
16. We believe each individual has the responsibility to tithe on the increase of his income. It is an opportunity to honor the Lord with his substance. Through tithing and the three commanded Holy Day offerings given on Days of Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, and the Feast of Tabernacles, God sustains His Church, the preaching of His soon coming Kingdom of God and the preparation to be the bride for Christ.
