“THOSE WHO ENDURE TO THE END”
God in His word has encouraged each one of us to enduring to the end as it says in Matthew 24:13, “But he that
endures unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
In Hebrews 6: we see where the Apostle Paul said, Abraham had to be faithful and patient to receive the reward
God had given to him and then later to us. “And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to
the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and
patience inherit the promises. For when God made promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no greater,
He sware by Himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so,
after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise” (Heb 6:11-15).
The word here for Patience is Strong’s *3115, meaning: Greek makrothumia (mak-roth-oo-mee'-ah); from the
same as NT:3116; longanimity, i.e. (objectively) forbearance or (subjectively) fortitude: KJV - longsuffering,
patience. (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew

The word patience in other scriptures is Strong’s * 5281meaning, Greek hupomonees,
1. steadfastness, constancy, endurance James 5:11
2. a patient, steadfast waiting for;
3. a patient enduring, sustaining: 2 Cor 1:6

Rev 13:10, “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed
with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” The King James Study Bible of 1988 say,
Patience (Gr. hupomonees, ) is perseverance or endurance. Those who have genuine saving faith will endure
all the persecution of the Beast.
Again in Rev 14:12, “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God,
and the faith of Jesus.” Again Strong’s * 5281, meaning endurance; steadfast waiting for.”
In 2 Cor 12:12, we see another version of patience. “Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in
all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.” King James Study Bible comments: Patience here is
perseverance or endurance. The assurance of genuine believers in the faith and in the commandments of God.
Strong’s Greek word: hupomone (hoop-om-on-ay'); from NT:5278; meaning, cheerful (or hopeful) endurance,
constancy: KJV - enduring, patience, patient continuance (waiting). (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's
Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright (c) 1994, Biblesoft and

Truly God’s word tells us to wait in patient endurance. In a cheerful and hopeful endurance! We do not need
to be depressed by the way of this Satanic, sinful world, because our Father and Jesus Christ are in control. Keep
praying for God’s kingdom to come.☜
