There are three heavens.
Most Christians believe that they
go to heaven when they die. But
what really does your Bible say.
The Bible proves that there are
three Heavens. "Then God said, let
waters abound with an abundance
of living creatures and let the bird
fly above the earth across the
firmament of the heaven" (Genesis
1:20). This is where we see clouds
and birds fly is the 1st heaven.
Then we have the second
Heaven found in Genesis 1:14
"And God said, let there be lights
in the firmament of the heavens to
divide the day from the night and
let them be for signs and seasons
and for days and years." We find
the moon, star and the sun, being
the home of the second Heaven.
Then we have the third
heaven where most people believe
they will go to when they die, or
Christ comes and take them to this
3rd Heaven. "It is doubtless not
profitable for me to boast. I will
come to vision and revelation of
the Lord: I know a man in Christ
who fourteen years ago-whether in
the body I do not know, or whether
out of the body I do not know, God
knows "Such one was caught up
to the third heaven" (2 Corinthian
12:1-2).
Do we go to this third
Heaven? If yes, when, how, and
what shall we be doing in the third
Heaven while the Lord will be
reigning on the Earth? Jesus gave
some of His most basic and
fundamental teachings in what is
commonly called the "Sermon on
the Mount." How did He begin His
teaching? Matthew 5; "Blessed are
the poor in spirit, for theirs is the
Kingdom of Heaven? Blessed are
those who mourn, for they shall be
comforted. Blessed are the meek
for they shall inherit the earth"
(Matthew 5:3-5).
Notice carefully. Did Jesus
say that the poor in spirit would go
to heaven, while the meek would
inherit the Earth? No, He said the
poor in spirit would be blessed with
the Kingdom [ Government ] of
Heaven. The Kingdom of Heaven
will come to planet Earth when
Christ returns. That is when the
saved will be resurrected and shall
inherit the Kingdom, the Kingdom
Jesus told us to pray for in Matthew
6:10. It is the Kingdom to come,
not the saved to go to the Kingdom
in Heaven.
The Apostle John explained
that God has called His servant and
redeemed them "Out of every tribe,
tongue, and people and nation"
(Revelation 5:9). As Christians,
where will be our destiny after
being called from every tongue and
tribe? This is the question most
Christians do not understand.
Will we go to Heaven? Will
we inherit the Earth? These
question are explained by the
Apostle John in verse 10, "And
has made us kings and priests to
our God and we shall reign on the
earth." God has called us to
become Kings and Priests and we
shall help Christ to rule in
establishing everlasting peace on
the Earth. That is why Jesus said
that the meek, those who humbly
follow Jesus rather than their own
self - will inherit the Earth.
When we pray, "Your
Kingdom come," we are praying
for the coming of the Kingdom
[ God's Government ] which will
bring peace to all humanity, in
which the faithful Christians will
serve their beloved Savior as Kings
and Priest under His direction.
Who Will Be The Ruler Of
this Kingdom To Come? The
Bibles answer this question in
many places. Notice what the
Apostle John wrote, Now I saw
heaven opened, and behold a white
horse. And He who sat on him was
called Faithful and True and
Righteousness. He judges and
makes war, His eyes were like the
flame of fire, and on His Head
were many Crowns. He had a name
written that no one knew except
Himself" (Revelation 19:11-12).
Jesus wearing many Crowns, will
return to planet Earth as its
conquering King. (Zachariah
14:3-4).
Jesus Christ as the Messiah
came preaching a message that
many think they know but
surprisingly, few really understand.
What did Jesus preach?
"The time is fulfilled and the
Kingdom of God is at hand, repent
and believe the gospel"(Mark
1:15). We must acknowledge that
we have sinned, transgressed the
Ten Commandments of God.
Jesus taught that it was
time to stop sinning, and believe
His message and be ready for the
soon coming Kingdom of God.
From Where Will Christ
Reign? "I will return unto Zion,
and dwell in the midst of
Jerusalem" (Zachariah 8:3). There
are many verses that support that
Christ will reign from Jerusalem.
Notice, Isaiah 2:2-3, "Come and
let us go to the mount of the Lord
to the house of God of Jacob, He
will teach us His way and we shall
walk on His path for out of Zion
shall go forth the Law and the
Word of the Lord From
Jerusalem."
Humanity often
contradictory and unjust law shall
be no more. God law shall be
taught and administered from
Jerusalem. The Ten
Commandments are the foundation
of the law. Remember Jesus said,
"But if you want to enter into life,
keep the Commandments." Then
He went on to list several of the
Ten Commandments in Matthew
19:17.
Brethren, we are not going to
Heaven, but we shall inherit the
Earth. "Then I John saw the Holy
City, New Jerusalem coming down
of out of Heaven from God.
Prepared as a Bride adorned for her
Husband, and I heard a loud voice
from Heaven saying, behold the
tabernacle of God is with men, and
He will dwell with them and they
shall be His people. God Himself
will be with them and be their God
and God will wipe away every tear
from their eyes, there shall be no
more death or sorrow nor crying.
There shall be no more pain for the
former things had passed away.
Then He who sat on the throne
said, Behold I make all things
new"(Revelation 21:2-5).
God want us to inherit the
Earth. As He tells us in Revelation
21:7, "He that overcomes shall
inherit all things and I will be His
God and he shall be My son." May
God help us all to seek Him, and
His Kingdom that we may soon
inherit the Earth, the Universe and
all things that He has promised to
us.
