Days of Noah and Lot
****************************************************************************************
In these last days, we are to watch for the signs of the times! Knowing homosexuality is the last sin to
prevail before a society of people are turned to ashes. Where is the evidence for stating that? Together we will
address and find evidence of that.
Reading the world news every day and drawing a comparison between the world news and the Bible
brings to mind what Jesus, the Christ said in Luke 17, "And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in
the days of the son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the
day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all" (Luke 17:26-27).
The parallels between Noah's time and this generation are indeed alarming. There is no question - but that
many signs are being given which signal the fact that the end of this age is at hand. Coupled with the sign of
Noah, was another sign given to establish the certainty of a coming fulfillment. "Likewise also as it was in the
days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; But the same day that Lot
went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the
day when the Son of man is revealed" (Luke 17:28 - 30).
The operation of God's divine justice requires that there must be at least a double witness before the
execution of a judgement. In it states, "One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any
sin, in any sin that he sins: at the mouth of two Witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter
be established" (Deut 19: 15).
When God moves to make a judgment, He keeps the requirements of His law to be the foundation to
follow. The records found in the scriptures affirm this conclusion. The following illustration that we have spoke
on before, demonstrates this point very clearly. When God appointes Jonah to go and warn the inhabitants of
Nineveh that the city would be destroyed because of their wickedness, Jonah felt he knew that the Lord would
reverse His decision and that the city would be spared.
As the result of Jonah's warning, the people of the city did repent. We read of Jonah's complaint about
this assignment: in Jonah chapter 4: starting in verses 1-2, "But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very
angry. And he prayed unto the Lord, and said, I pray you, 0 Lord, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my
country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish." Jonah frankly admitted that he fled so that the city would not
repent, in order that the hated Assyrians - might perish. This in the prophet's judgment, was the better course to
follow for the sake of and protection of his own countrymen.
But how did Jonah know that the inhabitants of wicked Nineveh would repent and be spared? As a
prophet of the Lord, Jonah was fully acquainted with God's laws found in Deut 19: 15, and he knew that only
one witness (Being himself) was appearing against the Assyrians. If God had commissioned someone else to
accompany him, his warning of doom would have been sealed.
Looking at another example is the dooms day fate of Sodom, that is entirely different in regard to Sodom
and Gomorrah. Prior to their destruction, we find Abraham entertained three men. This account is stated in Gen
18, "And the Lord appeared unto him [Abraham] in the plains ofMamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat
of the day; and he lift up his eyes and looked, and, three men stood by Him." Of the three who came to visit
Abraham, was the Lord and two of His angels, [who records in verses 20-21] "Because the cry of Sodom and
Gomorrah is great, and Because their sin is very grievous; [reaching into the depth of evil] verse 21 says, "I will
go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto Me; and
If not, I will know." While the Lord remained with Abraham, the other two men went on to visit Sodom.
Abraham then pleaded with the Lord, and said, as the Judge of all the earth, "wilt You also destroy the
righteous with the wicked? (Gen 18:23). "The Lord said " .... if ten shall be found there I will not destroy it for
ten's sake. And then the Lord went His way" (Gen 18:32-33).
The next chapter opens with the statement in Gen 19, "And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and
Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them" ( Gen 19: 1). Here, we are given to
understand that the two visitor's were angels, whom Abraham had entertained, and who Lot recognized as such!
Lot invited them into his house and took care of their needs, and set food as Abraham did before them.
Then the account states what developed before they retired for the night, Gen 19. "The men of the city, even the
men of Sodom compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: And they
called unto Lot, and said unto him, where are the men which came in to you this night? Bring them out unto us,
that we may know them [may commit sodomy with them]" (Gen. 19: 4-5).
Lot forcefully reproached these "gays" of Sodom to no avail. They were attempting to force their way into
Lot's house, the angels seeing this - struck them with blindness, so that they could not find the door. Then the
angels said to Lot in verse 12, "Have you here any besides? Son in law, and your sons, and your daughters, and
whatsoever you have in the city, bring them out of this place: for we will destroy this place, because the cry of
them [homosexuals] is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord has sent us to destroy it. And Lot
went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, up, get you out of this place;
for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law" (Gen. 19: 12-14). His
son in laws thought he was joking!
When day light appeared in the morning the angels urged Lot to hurry, take your wife and two daughters
and flee lest they perish also: "Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from
the Lord out of heaven; and He overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and
that which grew upon the ground." (Gen. 19: 24-25). When the Lord moved in judgment against the inhabitants
of both Sodom and Gomorrah, He utilized His natural forces immediately available to bring about their complete
destruction.
As we read earlier, when the two angels came to visit Sodom and Gomorrah they witnessed first hand
the violent gay, lesbians, and homosexual nature of the people! Right then and there two witnesses had appeared
against two cities. The doom of those two cities were sealed. The gay, lesbian and homosexuality, have increase
into destructive breakdown in laws and order in our State Government, and Cities today, just as it was in the days
of Noah and Lot.
Not long ago we read of a lesbian mayor in Texas subpoenaed the first Amendment! The lesbian mayor
of Houston, Texas, was going after local pastors who have spoken against homosexuality. Mayor Annise Parker
and two homosexual city council members pushed through a non-discrimination ordinance that protects
homosexuals and lesbians. Their proposed "bathroom bill" ordinance passed 11-6 in May of last year, despite
vocal opposition by the Houston community, which was led by local churches and pastors. Alliance Defending
Freedom, is now reporting the City of Houston, is fighting a lawsuit related to the ordinance. Their demanding
that Five pastors turn over sermon notes and private communications with their church members. Things like
this is what caused God to rain fire and brimstone down upon the inhabitants in that area right after Lot was
removed from the city of Sodom.
The crime of sodomy and homosexuality is on the increase throughout the world and America today.
"Homosexuality" spears across the spectrum, of all American life, from professionals, to the arts, - to business
and labor- and it always has.
But today, especially in big cities, homosexuals are discarding their closet ways and openly admitting,
even flaunting, their deviation. Today, we can see gay and sodomy practices has crept into all society's of life,
even invaded our governments; Barny Franks comes to mind with his Washington gay apartment house of
sodomy. Even today, the former President Obama has a book coming out about his looking into the gay life
style. These devotees have formed clubs and gay parades and hold annual conventions to popularize their gross
behavior. The whole situation is becoming increasingly more sickening every day.
"Catholic School Faces LGBT Backlash for Canceling Gender Show for Five - Year- Olds. LGBT
Canadians are furious after a Catholic school district canceled performances of a play about gender identity meant
for children as young as five years old. "I fear these cancellations may be based on misinformation, grown out
of intolerance, transphobia, homophobia and misogyny," wrote Jessica Carmichael, the artistic director of the
Carousel Playhouse. The playhouse had been scheduled to perform a play called, "Boys, Girls and Other
Mythological Creatures." The show had already been booked in five elementary schools in the Niagara Catholic
School District. The play features an eight-year-old boy who dresses as a girl and questions his gender, The
Globe and Mail reports." by Todd Stearn, Patriots Posts May 10, 2017.
OUR RIGHTEOUS GOD, WHO DESTROYED SODOM AND GOMORRAH WILL AGAIN MOVE
AGAINST THE DEGENERATES OF THIS GENERATION. THEY ARE NOT GOING TO GO
UNPUNISHED.
These biblical accounts of the days of Noah and Lot yields thought- provoking results for us to understand today.
It is important to bear in mind in this connection, a double witness has been given, first, the sign of Noah; second,
the sign of Lot. Only God's divine retribution, swift and complete, can stay the spread of immoral cancer
throughout the lands of modern Israel.
Noah and his immediate family alone escaped the destruction of the waters of the deluge. And it was for
Lot's sake, that others in his family were allowed to leave with him, but his wife looked back with lust causing
her to perish along the way.
Now read how the Apostle Peter's describes the penalty for this event, in 2 Pet 6-8, "And turning the
cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example
unto those that after should live ungodly; and delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation
[conduct] of the wicked: For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his
righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds; the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out
of temptations, And to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished."
Those taken and left are referring to Noah's day, according to what the Lord said in Matt 24:38-39, "For
as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until
the Day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also
the coming of the Son of man be."
Who was taken away? It was not Noah, or those with him, but those who were destroyed by the deluge,
they had refused to heed Noah's warning and seek refuge in the ark. It was Noah, and his family who were
preserved in safety throughout the deluge.
Noah, became a sign, to those whom the prophet Isaiah addressed in Isa 26:20, "Come, my people, enter
you into your chambers, and shut the doors about you: hide yourself as it were for a little moment, until the
indignation be over past" (Isa. 26: 20).
This is a message addressed to God's people as a whole, exhorting them to prepare for a time of trouble.
The prophet continues: in verse 21, "For, behold, the Lord cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of
the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain." It is during
the severity of such a time that Isaiah counsels God's people to withdraw themselves into seclusion, as it were,
for a little while until God's wrath has been visited upon the enemies of righteousness.
Noah and his family were shut in the ark while the deluge God arranged destroyed the old world around
them.
Acknowledging this example, God's people are admonished to seek shelter from the storms of tribulation
- just ahead. It will be at this same time God will purge out from among His called people, all those who are
remaining rebellious against Him. God says. "And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you
into the bond of the covenant: and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against
Me: I will bring them forth out of the Country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the Land of Israel:
and you shall know that I am the Lord" (Ezek 20:37-38).
While Noah and his family were preserved in the ark and the people of his day -- taken away in the flood.
The situation with Lot was entirely the opposite. Lot was taken out of the city of Sodom before it was
overwhelmed by fire. He represents those who will escape the coming tribulation of Satan's wrath by being
removed - prior to its starting.
We seen how angels hastened Lot's departure and our Lord informs us that He will send His angels to
gather His elect for their departure. "And He [Christ] shall send His angels with a great
SOUND OF A TRUMPET, And they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven
to the other" (Matt 24: 31).
Today, the people of this world are following the evils of Noah's and Lot's days.
Don't let this revealed evil cause us to lose our salvation! ☜
