COME INTO THE ARK! *********************************
And the Lord said unto Noah, “Come thou and all thy house into the ark for thee have I seen righteous before
Me in this generation.” And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons wives with him into the ark
because of the waters of the flood (Genesis 7:1; 7).
The woman eats the fruit of the forbidden tree and convinced her husband to join her in rebellion…..and
so Eden becomes defiled through disobedience. And unto the woman the Lord God said, “I will greatly multiply
thy sorrow and thy conception, in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shalt be to thy husband,
and he shalt rule over thee” (Genesis 3: 16).
And to Adam he said, “because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree,
of which I have commanded of thee, saying, thou shalt not eat of it, cursed is the ground for thy sake, in sorrow
shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life. Thorns and thistles shall it bring forth to thee, and thou shalt eat the
herb of the field. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground for out of it wast
thou taken, for dust thou art and unto dust shalt thou return” (Genesis 3: 17-19).
From that day on, man was expelled from the garden to live in pain and sweatful toil among thorns and
thistles. “Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was
taken. And so he drove out the man and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims and a flaming
sword which turned every way to keep the way of the tree of life” (Genesis 3: 23-24).
The ravages of sin continued outside Eden. The first two sons of Adam and Eve made an offering to God.
One did it according to the prescription God had instructed them while the other did not. It was a matter of
attitude that the younger brother has found favor in God’s sight. And the elder brother who did it the wrong way
killed the other who did it the right way. Cain, then, was the first human being ever to be born on this planet grew
up to become the first murderer of his own brother. Abel, was the first man to die at the hands of another, a
victim of man’s inhumanity to man, slain by his own elder brother no less.
A reveler of God, Cain became an active leader in the development of a materialistic, carnal but
seemingly successful worldly culture. Cain practically has gone out of the way of God. There is not the slightest
indication that he ever repented. On the contrary, apostasy is bluntly labeled by the Holy Spirit as going in the
way of Cain (Jude 11).
And so it was that men began to multiply on the face of the earth. And God saw that the wickedness of
man was great and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually (Genesis 6: 1;
5). The increase in population marked also the rise of crimes and violence. New ideas that appealed to the carnal
and hostile minds gained acceptance to a somewhat lawless and corrupt antediluvian society.
The Lord Jesus drew a direct parallel during the days which Noah lived and the days that would
immediately precede His return. “But as the days of Noah were so shall also be the coming of the son of man.
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until
the day that Noah entered the ark”(Matthew 24:37-38).
Therefore, they must have, in like manner, experienced an era characterized by industrial and agricultural
revolution, an age anchored on a more advance knowledge in the art of sciences and technology exactly the kind
of life we enjoy in the 21st century. Permissiveness becomes the order of the day where everyone was doing what
seemed right in his own eyes. “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end there of are the ways
of death” (Pov.14:12). Noah lived in an age that was ripening fast for judgment.
And it repented the Lord that He had made man on the earth and it grieved Him at His heart. And the
Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created on the face of the earth, both man and beast and the creeping
thing, and the fowls of the air for it repenteth Me that I have made them (Genesis 6:6-7).
“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord” (Genesis 6: 8). Grace is the unmerited favor of God to
people facing judgment. It is not earned through human effort. It is simply the righteousness of God imputed
upon us…… for all have sinned …….and the wages of sin is death. And God said unto Noah, “the end of all
flesh is come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with
the earth.
Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with
pitch” (Genesis 6: 13-14). Most of us, if not all, are familiar with this story. God gave Noah precise instruction
on how he should build the ark.
Notice Verse 22 of Genesis chapter 6 says, thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded, so did
he. He just agreed and did it. But on what evidence did he based his decision? Hebrews 11:7 gave us the answer.
“By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear prepared an ark to the saving
of his house; by the which he condemned the world; and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith”. And
faith is evidence that cannot be seen. Noah’s decision was based solely on what God said. There was no physical
evidence to suggest that the flood would come and destroy all of mankind. As a matter of fact all the physical
evidence around suggested that he should not build the ark.
Work went on, and for 120 years Noah was mercilessly subjected to cruel mocking, insults and ridicule.
News of Noah’s gigantic project spread rapidly throughout the length and breathed of the known world. Possibly
the news was carried by broadsheets and tabloids daily with a catching headline “The Progress of Noah’s Ark,”
an update on the progress and development of Noah’s work. In the light of the prevailing situation, it would be
safe to assume that numerous articles were also written explaining in details as to why a flood of global
proportion could not happen.
Alongside with the building of the ark, Noah never got tired of preaching to the people,
warning them of the coming universal flood. He appeared to them like a fanatic, a man out of his mind building
a huge ark in the middle of dry land. The ark was so big that it can be seen afar off, an imposing man-made
structure that carried with it a thunderous message - warning the human race of the wrath to come.
Unfortunately, the preaching of Noah fell on deaf ears. No one bothered to answer his urgent call for
repentance. No one responded to his invitation to come and seek refuge into the ark. Salvation offered by the ark
was completely ignored. When the hour of reckoning came his only converts after one hundred twenty years of
preaching were his wife, his three sons and his son’s wives, just seven people in all. And the Lord said unto
Noah, “Come thou and all thy house into the ark for thee I have seen righteous before me in this generation”. And
Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons wives with him, into the ark because of the waters of the
flood (Genesis 7:1,7).
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same
day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up and the windows of heaven opened; and the rain was upon
the earth forty days and forty nights. And the flood was forty days upon the earth and the waters increased, and
bare up the ark and it was lift up upon the earth” (Genesis 6:11,12,17).
Noah’s ark, while on the making, much more so when it was about to be finished, stood gleaming in its
final coat of pitch under the hot scorching sun, an impressive work of art for all to see……but the message of
deliverance it offered escape nonetheless from the watchful eyes of Godless men and women. Instead they
pounded at him insulting and disappointing comments for all his efforts.
The storm came and the water increased on the surface of the earth. The lone visible emblem of refuge
from the impending wrath of the Almighty was completely ignored…… till the last minute too late. The door
of the ark was finally shut down from the inside and people began to see the danger lying ahead. But it was too
late and there was no place to hide. Then the rampaging water and terrified voices everywhere came mingling
together out of one’s arrogant and defying wicked humans on earth. There voices fainted further and further away
from the floating ark till they heard them no more.
And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast and of every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man. All in whose nostril was the breath of life, of all that
was in the dry land, died. And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground both
man and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven, and they were destroyed upon the earth, and
Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark. And the waters prevailed upon the earth an
hundred fifty days (Genesis 7:21-24).
And God remembered Noah and every living thing and all the cattle that was with him in the ark, and
God made a wind to pass over the earth and the water assuaged; the fountains also of the deep, and the windows
of heaven were stopped and the rain from heaven was restrained, and the waters returned from off the earth
continually and after the end of hundred and fifty days the water were abased and the ark rested in the seventh
month upon the mountain of Ararat (Genesis 8: 1-4).
And God spake unto Noah, and his sons with him, saying, “behold, I establish My covenant with you,
and with your seed after you. Neither shall all the flesh be cut off any more by the waters of the flood, neither
shall there be any more be a flood to destroy the earth. And God said, this is the token of the covenant which I
make between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations. I do set My bow
in the cloud and shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth” Genesis 8-13).
“And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud;
And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the
water shall no more become a flood to destroy all the flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud and I will look
upon it that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is
upon the earth” (Genesis 9: 14-17).
The once imposing man-made structure is almost gone …… and what remains is but a faint memory of
what it was in the hearts of men. As years go by, generation after generation, the story of the great deluge in the
Holy Scripture remained in question. Some modern intellectuals and philosophers insist that it was nothing more
but a myth made history and that a worldwide flood of that magnitude never happened. But highly educated and
respected religious leaders of the world, on the other hand, never give up and has unearth artifacts and other
valuable supporting evidences to prove that indeed, it happened.
It is believed that the ark now rest at the summit of Mount Ararat somewhere in the vicinity of Turkey.
There have been many reported sightings of the ark in the frozen ice and snow covered mountain but the
thundering message it was supposed to deliver are now lost and gone – almost forgotten in the hardened hearts
and minds of wicked men.
Today, the greatest wrath Satan will ever inflict upon the people of God is about to begin but God’s
people in the Laodicean era don’t know anything about them. As God said in Psalm 19:1,“The heavens declare
the glory of God.” King David even added, “When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon
and the stars, which Thou hast ordained, what is man that Thou art mindful of him?” (Psalm 8:3-4)
But Satan’s wrath shall only be the beginning of sorrows. People are going to be petrified when they
experience the fury of God’s most violent wrath - far worse than the angry turbulent waters of the flood, far
worse than the so called great tribulation labeled by the Holy Scripture as an event of severe destruction such as
was not since the beginning of the world, no nor ever shall be (Matthew 24: 21).
The sun and the moon give their lights night and day. A stern warning directed to his lukewarm church
who had remained sleeping in deep slumber without regard to the silent messages they bring. Many of them are
soon going into the so called great tribulation while others will be in danger of losing their eternal lives. What
a tragic catastrophe to all those who claim to know almost everything!
For two decades now or so, only a small group, a few hundred out of a little more than 7 billion people
in the world are delivering the most important message to His Laodicean church and the world. They are a unique
group of people to whom God had revealed His secrets concerning the role of the heavenly bodies in the final
fulfillment of His plan to save His people.
Think of how lucky we are to be God’s first fruits, the elect, the chosen and the faithful. Ponder on what a
blessing it is for us to be the bride of Christ. Consider what a distinct honor it is to be on board the ark - a part
of the Church of God-In Truth! Think and ponder on all these things and you will see what a privilege and
singular honor it is to be in the presence of the Lord and God Almighty for all eternity. Come on, enter the ark
and never ever try to jump off the ship! ☜
